Problem is, most slivers are fairly fragile. Now if only we could get an indestructible sliver...

Interaction with infect? If this puts +1/+1 counters on after infect damage, it would be real nice for sliver decks going against infect decks.

The first strike damage resolves. Before normal damage the ability triggers and Fungus Sliver gets a counter, then "second strike" happens and the now 3/3 sliver kills the first striker.

To shorten:
The 1/3 dies.
