@MyrBattlecube: You would be able to use Necrotic Ooze to exile artifacts, but the ooze wouldn't get the static ability that lets you use the things you exile. So that would really only function as graveyard hate.

@mabo,

While imprinting the Umezawa's Jitte will give you the remove charge counters ability, it will NOT give you the ability to put the charge counters on. If you gain that ability, say from an exile Titan Forge, then it will work fine.

Might be a bit of a silly question, but I'm just starting to delve into the deeper rules of Magic so... Myr Welder can gain the activated abilities, but does not gain the card type, of an exiled artifact. Does this mean that 301.5c doesn't apply? Can a Myr Welder that's picked up an Equip ability equip to another creature?
I can see that conceptually working with the Myr Battlesphere at least...

so, if i imprint molten tail masticore onto this guy, then use the molten tails' ability that it gained to exile a second artifact creature from my graveyard, does it get that second creatures abilities also?

Guys, guys... guys. What about Grindclock?

The Galvanizer + Palladium trick doesn't just give you infinite mana, it also lets you tap/untap any Myr you have. If you imprint Grindclock on Myr Welder, just imagine it...

Your opponent, stares in horror, hand scraping at the empty space where his library once was, finding nothing. His eyes never once breaking contact with your maniacal grin, his ears pitched to hear your stifled cackle. It will ring in his ears every day for the rest of his life.

You have made him throw 78'432'792 cards away in one turn. His library had only 38.

Turn one: Mountain, Faithless Looting (discard Millikin, pili-pala)
Turn two: land
Turn three: land, Myr Welder
Turn four: exile pili-pala, pili-pala ability, exile milikin, pili-pala ability, milikin ability & pili-pala ability multiple times to get palladium myr and fatestitcher in the graveyard (be sure to make blue), exile paladium myr and unearth fatesticher to untap.

Unlimited mana, untaps and access to all the scrap of the deck.

For some added defense use Patchwork Gnomes.

Imprinted mySteel Hellkite on this little guy earlier after my opponet killed it. Laughed merrily as a little Myr wiped his field.

The linked abilities rule needs to go. As printed, and in Oracle for that matter, all of these cards reference cards "exiled by CARDNAME." That only means one thing and this rule makes it mean an entirely different thing solely for the purpose of nerfing ridiculously arcane combos that they have no reason to eliminate.

So, if I'm understanding this right, if Myr Welder is in your graveyard and you have a Necrotic Ooze on the field, can you tap it to imprint artifacts and use their activated abilities?
